When BSharp closed, I didn’t think Dave would really stop working on the weekends, but a few weeks ago he surprised me. “GET UP!” he belted into the bedroom. I grabbed my phone. 9:30am. WTH?! He let me sleep til 9:30??
“We are going to go to the topiaries”, he announced.
What?
With our AAA discount, we still spent more than I would like on a weekend adventure, BUT I will say, this was kind of cool! A part of the Newport Mansions, but not in Newport, The Topiary Garden had some awesome artifacts inside the home (the floors reminded me of my house (creaky and in need of a refinishing. Maybe my house is historic!) There are beautiful grounds to explore, some really cool wooden rockers for the kids to climb on (too tall for Addie to ride), and over 80 topiaries on the grounds! Walking through the gardens was so peaceful and I loved all the photo ops such lush surroundings offered us.
Check out our day-trip to Green Animals Topiary Garden!
P.S. If you go, save your ticket and get a discount if you go to any of the other mansions (I believe this is a same-day only offer.)
