Did you hear the news? Our house sold and we bought another! We are in the process of packing the past 6 years neatly away, but doing that with two kids is a bit like eating cookies after brushing our teeth. Stressful, repetitive and, often, fruitless, especially when our daily, non-necessity, items are being stored.
For us to keep the spirit alive in the house, we like to take mini-breaks for snacks, walks around our current neighborhood and dance parties- which on the weekends get rowdy! Dave loves to play his guitar and rock out tunes from Frozen while Addie sings and dances. It’s the most adorable thing. Ever.
We have never moved out of and into a place on the same day before, so we came up with three things to help us do so.
1. Pack all non-essential items immediately so we can sell/donate items we don’t need anymore.
2. Get a storage space so we aren’t loading up 3 bedrooms, 2 kids and a dog the day of closings.
3. Keep the last few weeks in our first home fun and footloose!
If you know the Martinkas, you know that music means a lot to our whole family. Both my husband and brother-in-law grew up in bands, and love to incorporate music into everyday life. To keep the good times rolling, we knew music would be key, but as all non-essentials are being packed up, our records and speakers were some of the first items in boxes. To keep the packing party going, no matter which room we’re in, a great wireless speaker is ideal!
After setting up my Infinity One Portable Speaker, Addie, Millie and Daddy got to the music and I got to work- packing, organizing and getting it done! More importantly, the kids get to have their daily music uninterrupted. We simply start up whatever play list we want, and with the push of a button, our speaker is able to play in whichever room we’re in- for 10 hours without needing charge!
We are also in the midst of creating playlists on YouTube for Addie and Mommy so we can easily access our favorite music while we unpack in the new house- it’s what Addie is truly looking forward to! Our new kitchen is in the middle of the house and our records will be in another area- my sweet audiophile is excited to have her own speaker for her musical pleasure in every room! If you’ve ever wondered how you can listen to all of your current favorite songs anytime, anywhere, with the best sound- look no further. The Infinity One is your match. To create your own audiophile dream, head over to YouTube and create a playlist of your own with this tutorial:
Creating a Play List
1. Head over to YouTube and search your favorite songs.
2. Underneath the playing video, click ‘Add’.
3. Choose which list you want your song added to, or make a new list!
Now that you have a play list, you can choose which one you want to play, whenever you want- wherever you want. Even from your phone- making spending the day outside with friends, or the night inside packing and unpacking sound a lot better- Literally! My list is below… some are new faves, others oldies but goodies. I find music to be what keeps my heart; my memories, and adding new songs reminds me of where I was in my life when I loved the words and music so deeply. I have a few play lists for that reason. Check out what I’m listening to now:

We are totally like you, in that we always have music on. While making dinner, cleaning, playing games… no matter what we are doing, we are all jamming out. I love watching the kids grow and love music as much as we do.

Music is life, right?

Good luck with your move. I hate packing and it is almost impossible with little ones around. This would be a great speaker for the pool.
Chelley @ A is for Adelaide says
YES! My parents have a pool, and I love that we can pack this when we drive the 300 miles to go see them and have the best pool parties at their house!

I have been looking for a speaker to use in the yard. I have a few different playlists i use depending on what i am doing. If i am cleaning i play really fast paced tunes.
Chelley @ A is for Adelaide says
We’ve used this one outside- it’s truly amazing sound quality! Even the neighbors peeked out to jam!

I think if i have to move again i am going to hire a moving company. I hated packing everything. It is fun to unpack. Some of the things you find makes it like Christmas.
