Chelley,
First, let me thank you for your blog and all your posts! I am a third grade teacher in Ohio and my husband is a firefighter/paramedic. We have a beautiful, active, full of life two year old named Sydney and we are 33 weeks pregnant with our second little princess, Sadie. Sadie\’s femurs have been measuring short since our routine ultrasound, but was not much of a worry because they said we would come back again to be monitored. Since then we have been to a high risk doctor at the Cleveland Clinic and last week the doctor mentioned he has a high concern for some form of dwarfism (Achondroplasia). We also had to meet with a genetic counselor. My husband and I are very scared of all of the unknowns that we have been presented with, but also have been trying to educate ourselves online as much as possible. However, medical journals and articles can only get you so far. We are both educated people but we just want to make a connection with a family who we can ask questions to prepare ourselves for bringing home Sadie. We already have so much love in our hearts for Sadie and we would greatly appreciate any and all advice, comments, and information you would be willing to share with us. Thank you for your time and allowing me to reach out to you to share our story.
God Bless,
Kim Caprara
