I was given an I See Me! personalized book to facilitate the creation of our perfect Easter baskets this year! All thoughts and opinions are, as always, my own!
Easter is always fun around here! I’ve done no-candy Easter baskets, but as the girls get older, I have to find the perfect balance. With our favorite tradition continuing, I will be adding a shopping trip after Easter for the girls to pick out what they’d like to plant this spring, but wanted to give them both something special this year.
I’ve been reflecting a lot on my religion, beliefs, convictions and how I help shape the girls’ moral compass without pushing religion on them. So I searched for the real meaning of Easter and came up with this: In John 1:29, as he sees Jesus approaching, John the Baptist announces to the crowd around him, “Look! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!”
My girls are my sunshine, and as they’ve dutifully sat next to me in Church and said their prayers before bed and dinner, as they love so wholly and ask questions that spark beautiful conversation, I wanted to celebrate them, as well as the holiday.
I picked out practical, but splurge items, like aden + anais shampoo– which always makes Addie’s hair so perfectly silky and a Minnie Mouse hat for my favorite Moose, perfect for her love of the mouse and need to protect her face from the sun.
And while mom gets practical with hands on learning Legos, a Paw Patrol mask for imagination experience, an a My First Bible Verses book, I also love the idea of celebrating the light in life. The celebration that those we love, who we care for are always close by- even when they’re not.
This is what led me to I See Me! books.
I See Me! books have been on my radar for a while now. They’re incredibly unique and are personalized down to the photo of your child! There are over 30 options to choose from, and can be specific- for a holiday or celebration- or for all occasions. This is why I chose the “We Go Together Like” story- the perfect unifying tale of siblings, cousins, or friends- and the illustrations are customizable, making the girls look like themselves!
When we reflect on Easter gifts, for our family, the fun of the bunny must intersect with Life. From growing new foods, to having new experiences- washing away the things we’ve done and beginning anew, with thanks and praise to a higher power- our baskets give a life balance we have grown to love.
A book that celebrates the beautiful relationship the girls have- including when moments get rough and how they shine through it- is such a beautiful story, I cannot wait to read it to them! Along with a personalized inscription, illustrations and their names peppered throughout, this is a gift I know they will cherish for the ages.
And yes, I admit I have thoughts of a beautiful relationship, where they pass the book back and forth to each other, alternating Easters, as they grow into adulthood. …it’s a gift to myself.
I was given the opportunity to share this wonderful book, or any other that you’d like, with you! So please enter the giveaway below for the chance to win an I See Me! personalized book, too!
Good luck!
