Where does one watch a Philadelphia Eagles game when in DC? Penn Commons is a good place to start.
All TVs are marked with their games, and getting there a bit early for the 1pm games assures you a seat at the bar. It was easy to make fellow-fan friends, and trade Philly brawler stories, and take down Giants’ fans simultaneously.
I ordered the Skinny Omelet, which was… an egg white omelet- hard to fail at, but needed some seasoning. I thoroughly enjoyed that it was served with perfectly ripened avocado and fresh fruit. And my plate of bacon: flawless (after a little dabbing).
The Bloody Mary is just spicy enough- nothing special, but a great pairing with brunch. Following up with a margarita, the house-made sour mix, was good enough to pair with a heck of a win over the Arizona Cardinals! …back in a couple of weeks to watch them win again- wonder where I’ll end up!
