When I first opened up my complimentary HIP Media Kit options, I was blown away. There are a ton of options, they’re incredibly easy to put together… and they’re a heck of a lot better than whatever I threw together for myself months ago. So I opted for something a little more sleek. With such an array of styles to choose from, I think I will make another, just to print and carry with me at my blogger conference next week!
But before we go there… what’s a media kit?
It’s your digital representation. Your more-than-a-résumé. It’s how you will sell your brand, your purpose. Yourself. Your media kit is you. Every blogger needs a media kit to show what you have to offer them and how they can benefit by working with you. This is my voice- giving me the power to show larger companies I have influence.
So… I tried my hand at making my own:
It worked, but it didn’t work. You know what I mean? I wanted to convey more than numbers and words jumbled together. This is more than a dolled-up résumé. This is a representation of my social media status. This is why I should be hired for more posts and can offer more to companies looking for ambassadors, brand reps, content creators and PR specialists.

My new media kit is the Elle 3-Page by HIP Media Kits and offers all of my stats, as well as a bit about myself and a place for me to showcase some of my best work- with links to the posts! I love that it’s clean and modern, but still fun and stylish. A bit of class for this rambling mom of two!
There are other single page options, too… which I’ll be utilizing for my trip to NYC this weekend for SoFabUOTR. A nice single page media kit! Sounds so much more sophisticated than résumé… and it really is so much more. With the option to just open my site and see what I do, this is just a teaser with some numbers, contact info and splash of flare. I also carry my business cards with me… which reminds me- I need to pack a blogger bag!

I made my own Media Kit, but looking at yours makes me realize I need to have someone that’s more creative work on mine! I lack all creativity and I feel like a little more oomph would set me above and beyond!
