Because it is the holiday season, my brain is in a bit of a fog… so my list of things I am thankful for is in no discernible order. I would love to know some things you are thankful for, too. - My family. From the girls and my sweet Dave, to my mom, sister, brothers. Aunts, uncles, cousins… I have a large, beautiful family.
- Marriage, for giving me such awesome inlaws!
- Puppy kisses… even from an old boy like Carter.
- Friends who have become family.
- Freedom.
- Education and access to continuing education.
- A working car.
- Music.
- Technology… for keeping us all connected, no matter where we live.
- LPA.
- Activists and emerging leaders.
- Our new home.
- Clothes and shoes.
- My faith.
- Having a small savings.
- Access to book… lots and lots of books.
- Happy kids.
- The zoo membership.
- My extended breastfeeding relationship.
- Lots of craft supplies.
- Free shipping.
- Fresh water.
- Clean sheets.
- Hard work.
- Photographs.
- Dwarfism and our fabulous community.
- Electricity.
- Morning snuggles and nightly prayers with my girls.
- Hot showers.
- Documentaries.
- Social media… for giving me a job!
- Writing.
- The cup of coffee that is always waiting for me in the morning.
- Mentors.
- Red wine and friends to share it with.
- The opportunity to put my girls in classes and expose them to music, art, dance, and sports.
- Long talks with my mom and a friendship that blossomed in my adulthood.
- Caramel + salt combination.
- My fireplace.
- Sunday football.
- Warm blankets.
- Self-control… and the forgiveness when I don’t have it.
- Naptime… so I get my time.
- Text messaging.
- Exercise.
- Creating my own business.
- Debates.
- A healthy marriage.
- Making goals I can achieve.
- Independent kids.
- The beach.
- Living in Massachusetts.
- Online classes.
- Listen to Your Mother.
- Blogging conferences.
- Going out for dinner.
- Family tickle fights.
- Dreaming.
- Running races.
- Fresh fruit and veggies.
- Baby carriers.
- Heat.
- Access to healthcare.
- Holding hands.
- Christmastime.
- Friends from all walks of life to teach me.
- Nursing clothes.
- Vitamins and supplements.
- Paying off debt.
- Having my parents’ records… classic just sounds better.
- Massages and chiropractic care.
- Waking up everyday.
- Poetry.
- Milk delivery.
- Seasons in New England.
- Kisses from my hubby.
- Sunday mass.
- Being able to call my mom at any time, just to say hi.
- AWD vehicles.
- Lots of land to let the kids and dog run… seeing all the things childhood is made of play out on our front lawn.
- White lights on the Christmas tree.
- Community.
- Avocados… and brunch.
- Skype… to see the family that is far away.
- Sharing the love of cooking with my kids.
- Memories of all those who are not here.
- Bountiful milk supply.
- The opportunity to travel.
- Exposure to different cultures.
- A safe neighborhood.
- Laughter.
- True love.
- WordPress.
- A playroom for the kids.
- Shopping small businesses… and having some of the best ones so close by!
- Having an extra toilet in the house (AMEN!).
- Being near ocean and mountains.
- Laptops and printers.
- Toothbrushes.
