A week before we moved, Camille turned one!!! We celebrated with a pink lemonade themed first birthday party, complete with pink lemonade, fresh lemon water and regular lemonade beverages for all! Check it out:
We invited friends and family to join us with THESE invites:
My mom made the sweetest water bottle labels on the computer at home and had them all ready for when she got to Rhode Island (from Philly):
And I made THIS lemonade stand!
It was such a beautiful day, that we just let the kids loose outside… which was perfect for the cake smash! I baked one Strawberries and Créme and one Lemon Bliss cake, then layered them for Millie. The party cake was from BJs… because their bakery is insanely delicious and the price is unbeatable!
I topped the cake with my own first birthday candle… no joke. It is only fitting that my Mom is in the photo. ♥
There were little touches I loved, too, like the teal lollipops and lemon yellow banner we hung, bringing all the colors into play, and making sure the whole backyard was decorated without breaking the bank.
THIS game would have been super cool to have there, too, but we did have Pinkalicious to read… and that was pretty awesome! I am all about the little touches, so adding a banner from 1-12 months made the hallway light up:
Millie wore a lemon outfit from Carter’s that we had as a hand-me-down given to Addie 2 years ago! Sometimes things just work out perfectly:
It was a fabulous day to celebrate our sweet Millie-Moose’s first birthday! What your favorite first birthday theme?
