Recently there have been BIG changes in my life, though I’m in the same place.

As mom to Addie and Millie, and wife to Dave, my identity has taken a hit. There are parts of me that I needed to reexamine. Share, expand on and reclaim. So I started working for myself. It sounds like a simple concept, but when you’re a one income family, it doesn’t seem like a small feat. Investing time there never seems to be enough of and energy you’re not sure you ever had, and money for anything… like business cards, is a challenge indeed.

But it is possible.

And I can be great.

I started by surrounding myself with greatness. A strong community of men and women. I found my passions… writing, marketing, fitness. I made a business unlike any other. My career is being me.

I get to advocate for the disability community.
I get to enjoy marketing, writing and social media.
I get to workout and take care of myself and nutrition as my business.

I am a social influencer. And I am building every single day thanks to the community around me.

It started with one woman in my mom’s group encouraging me to share, and it blossomed into so much more. It’s led me to stand behind a team of empowered women at Aliesha Noonan & Associates, who show me every week how to get out there and create business. Create opportunity. As real estate professionals, nothing is handed to them. Not a client, not a sale, not a commission. If they aren’t going to get it, there is nothing to be had.

And so I’ve flourished.

The drive for more led me to another mom who, like me, loves feeling good. As we spoke, we clicked. We talked. We planned. And I joined her team, coaching. I feel better. I am in control of my destiny. I love every minute of my day.

I love my work.

Me? I can surpass my goals. And so can you.

As I reach out and touch another parent’s shoulder, they lift. They learn. They, in turn, teach. And we pass on knowledge, love, acceptance and a drive to make the world a place where our children will flourish. We join to give autonomy to our families to educate, ask questions, create safe spaces and achieve their goals.

As another home comes off the market we pass on keys. Dreams. Futures. Plans. Goals being reached, chapters ending and new ones beginning. We inspire people to move onto new situations that suit them now. To end stagnant living. To stop waiting and do. How much better of a job can a person have?

As a coach, I live what I preach. I am growing with a team of men and women crushing goals every single day. Taking small steps is all it takes to reach a big dream. We can all be great, and helping everyone around me see that is a blessing.

The end result in life is not to be the best, but the best you. And that different is an invaluable distinction.

As I support others around me, I see it’s only possible because I too have been lifted up. Life is made up of carrying the weight and having your weight carried at different points on our individual journeys. If you choose to live it to the fullest, to realize your dreams, you must also help others realize their own.

No matter the struggle in our busy lives, we could all use a little encouragement. You can make a difference in someone’s life by simply making a small effort to tell them they will be #BeGreatOutThere.

To two of my very close friends who are striking out on their own businesses, A.G. and M.J.:

You have the power to control your future now. You took the hardest step, which is the first one. I believe in you ladies with my heart and soul and cannot wait to watch you fly!
