Thank you Scout & Cellar, Carrie Strimel for the opportunity to try a few of your fabulous wines! This post is supported and sponsored… as always all thoughts and opinions are mine.
Many jest at moms and book clubs.
We're just there for the wine. No one actually reads the book. Just call it wine club. #bookclub Click To TweetAnd sure, some nights are like that, but even when some people didn’t read (it’s been ME before!), it’s still book club. It’s a gathering of friends who need each other- maybe not everyday- but we need each other on this night. We need to laugh and vent and hug and cry. We need camaraderie and understanding and a break we don’t get anywhere else. We need the people who don’t see us everyday, but who SEE us on this night. We are book club.
Which is why, this busy mama trusts the great Carrie from Scout & Cellar. I pretty much email her, tell her what I’m reading and what we want to eat, and she sends me ideas. On a particular hard read, she suggested 14k Rosé for it’s lightness and ability to pair with almost anything. On this night, we needed it to go with hard, bitter tears. With a deep mourning. We needed it to go with a book that was very triggering for some of us to read.
This can of deliciousness did the trick!
As we embark upon our next meet-up, I cannot wait to try some fabulous wines, like 2017 Punkt Genau Grüner Veltliner– not only because the bottle looks awesome, but because on the Scout & Cellar site, it tells you what to expect from the wine AND what it pairs well with. No, not just a veggie and cheese platter, but specifically earthy cheeses. Count me in… I’ll be putting a nice spread together for my ladies!
The most important thing is that we come together and enjoy the heck out of the night together- and Scout & Cellar makes choosing the perfect, special wine for the evening possible. And dudes? S&C has you covered, too. They have a fantastic polo and wine pairing gift set ready for Father’s Day! Check it out HERE and order a special gift for Dad for the weekend!
Scout & Cellar offers only clean wines. Due to the growing cycle of grapes and the dictation of nature, many wine makers are forced to rely on pesticides, chemical additives and sugars, to yield a product that tastes the same, bottle after bottle, year after year. Pesticides, chemical additives and sweetener also make it possible to maximize yields and hide flaws that may exist in those bottles, like bacteria. Unfortunately, this processed wine is chemically-altered and completely unnatural, and you can taste it. Scout & Cellar are here to offer a more natural, altogether better-tasting wine experience to everyone around your table.
Stems up, Book Club!
