Happy Marvelous Monday!!! We had a beautiful Thanksgiving and hope you did, too!
Friends.
There are so many marvelous things in the world.
But they are just as I said.
Things.
As we decorated our Christmas tree Saturday night, I felt a feeling that comes upon me this time of year, but this year hit me hard. I call the feeling Even Though We Ain’t Got Money I’m So in Love With Your Honey. There’s no other way to sum it up.
So, Friends.
When I received a message about a friend who wanted to stop by… her message struck me. Hard. When a community pulls together a little at a time, it makes a big difference. The difference one community can make is huge, and I am eternally grateful for that.
I started this blog to make a difference. A difference not everyone will agree with or care about or participate in. But a difference I believe in. It takes a lot to get where we’re going sometimes, but a lot of small steps will get us there nonetheless.
This Monday is truly marvelous. We have a home, warmth, food, family, love and Friends. Happy Marvelous Monday, Reader. May your week be Merry and Bright.
love,

We had a great Thanksgiving. We ate breakfast for dinner and my husband does not like turkey, so we did not have any!

Beautiful post Chelly. You are right, many people are out there searching for “things” to fill the void or purchase, when all we really need this time of year is each other. Thanks for that friendly reminder on what this season and life really should be about.

That you believe in it is all that matters. The world is so self-involved nowadays that it may seem that no one else cares, but I am certain that a lot do. Keep your chin up!

I also love, love that song. It seems that the Holidays can either stress you out or make you remember what’s really important–that song says it all. Despite the struggle, love makes everything worthwhile and easier. All the best to you this Christmas.
