When Dave and I decided to get Addie her own camera for Christmas last year, we didn’t know what to expect. Getting a child at electronic can be such a hit or miss in these times of toys and stuff and more. But the Kidizoom Camera has in no way disappointed.
Addie takes pictures everywhere we go, and some of my favorites are things from her direct point-of-view:
My very favorite is of the girls feet. Addie caught it when she and her sister were laughing, legs intertwined. Their nails polished the same color.
As a mother, seeing my child’s world, literally, is an insight that my own mother didn’t see often. I get to her eye level- see her baby sister closer, see her daddy when he’s not paying attention… I love seeing these things- getting this insight. I imagine that there are some gifts that Addie won’t fall in love with like this, but seeing her joy that this camera has brought her, the pride I take in her beautiful art, and a slice of her world is priceless.
What’s a gift that you’ve given someone that has meant so much more than you thought?
