I used to have blogs pre-written. Not all the way, but drafts of things to write… but instead of tapping into those, I’ve chosen (this year) to write right from the soul, when I get something from the soul. My drafts are typically things I’ve felt that I want to write about, but were too raw or flimsy in conviction to share.
I am passionate about advocacy, our community, health, wellness, fitness, what motherhood means to me. I love to cook with the family, share our adventures, test out what does (and doesn’t) work as seen insert media outlet here, and bring content that helps foster new and hard conversations.
But there has to be more
Weeks like the one we have coming up, there is so much more to life than picking up a draft of a favorite recipe and posting it for you- because I can’t give it the love it needs. I won’t have the energy to share it, reply to comments, or be truly authentic in any social reactions to it- because my family needs me.
And if I am passionate about anything, it’s my family and their needs. Me? I am their need.
I am the one with the paperwork, the numbers, the records, the information. I am the one who carried and birthed this sweet child, who has only been Earth-side 1,924 days.
I am her need.
My apologies
Because I won’t give up my family’s true needs, nor will I bring you something my heart isn’t in- my posts will be sporadic, if at all, for the next few weeks. As we navigate Addie’s needs and a schedule that allows me to put my full attention to work, I may not be here.
But I will be here and here, if you want some updates on the spot! And I am always available if you message me… just give me some time to get back to you!
Your support is appreciated…
So I wanted to reach out to you, Reader. If you have a message for Addie, please email it, or a favorite post, please share! This blog has been such an amazing journey- sharing it with you. Thank you for sticking with us through this journey- I cherish you.

I totally appreciate this. I have never been one to do blog posts ahead of time. It just doesn’t work for me. The upside…it always feels right, the downside…there are sometimes pauses. Do what your family needs you to do and know this will be here when you get back.

You know, that’s okay if you take a break, change things up, or change the routine. Change can be a good thing, and you need to spend time doing what matters most. Your readers will understand.

I think we all have to step back at times and take care of real life issues. You do you. I am sure your readers will be here when you get back.
