When I was offered the opportunity to have a free service of my choosing at Citrón, I almost passed out (but not before checking the website for massages). Located in Wayland Square on the East Side of Providence, this intimate nail bar, wellness center and medi-spa is passionate about each of it\’s clients and services offered- certainly there is someone on your holiday list the deserves to be pampered as only Citrón can!
From the moment I walked in the door, I was transported out of Providence and into a cozy, tranquil space.
With neutral colors and pops of orange, natural sunlight and cushy but supportive furniture, I settled in with my mason jar of water (complementary drink offered… mimosa, anyone?), a freshly made mini fruit tart, and filled out my new client card.
My masseuse welcomed me from the doorway and guided me to the massage room- which was the perfect temperature! As I laid on my back on the most comfortable table (I\’ve had quite a few massages), I closed my eyes and took in the amazing scents of my surroundings. The salon uses mostly Aveda products, which are natural and have such a clean and relaxing smell, I found it hard not to fall fast asleep! As I rolled to my stomach, special attention was given to my problem areas- shoulders (hello baby carrying) and hamstrings (running)- with the most perfect detail and time.
As I dressed, I felt the most peaceful physical feeling pass over me since having Addie. I had done something for me. I had closed my eyes, relaxed my shoulders, felt the healing and soothing powers of hot stones, and let go of so much tension in my limbs. I had surrendered to the amazing sounds, smells and atmosphere around me. I was renewed.
With a fresh glass of water to sip, I lingered a few minutes chatting with the woman at the front desk. I felt like I\’d been there before, which is the best feeling to someone who doesn\’t get to do things like this often. Many times I feel intimidated, but at Citrón, from the moment you walk in the door, you are a valued client. I cannot wait to check out the nail bar with my bestie and tryout their stress fix manicure and pedicure!
I want to pass on the opportunity to enjoy Citrón for yourself- true story! Just fill out as many of the options below (no mandatory entries) to enter to win a 60 minute massage!… and don\’t forget those on your gift list. Citrón offers everything from manicures and pedicures to facials, massages, waxing, makeup application, body treatments… and so much more. Give yourself and those you love the gift of wellness this holiday season.

I was offered a free massage in exchange for a review (check out Yelp! too). All thoughts are my own and are not swayed by outside opinions.

I would get a deep tissue massage. Carrying extra weight and some hereditary issues cause my body to be in pain often. A deep tissue massage would be perfect!
