So as you know, I’m from Philadelphia- I say that with a smile, because I grew up right outside, really… which is great, because there are lots of places for me to run on the open roads without regard to other people in my way. It’s also great because there is a #Walgreens just down the road in Warminster to assist me when I need some runner TLC, at the Healthcare Clinic Philadelphia!
As a mom, I rarely get to a medical facility that isn’t adorned in princesses and Disney characters. being a runner, I like to carve out time to pound the pavement, not take care of myself! Bring on the Walgreens clinic! Knowing there is team of healthcare professionals ready to care for my minor aches, illnesses and runner mishaps, I am excited! I don’t have a ton of time or a local doctor when I’m away from home, which makes seeing anyone when I need a quick peek, tough. With the availability of walk-ins OR appointments and hours 7 days a week, well into the evening, I know there is time for me to stop in and get care for myself without making anyone juggle their schedule to care for Addie (my favorite running buddy, of course!). And? Most insurances are accepted- to avoid surprises, be sure to check out their insurance and pricing list online, from your local clinic.
One of the best parts about the clinic is that they offer the care of a nurse practitioner to anyone over the age of 18 months- which means less worry for me as a traveling mom. Not only am I assured that I have care, but I know that I can bring Addie for something minor, like a cold, without having to brave the ER in a non-emergency situation… and I don’t have to make another trip to pick up prescriptions after we are seen- with their full service, 24 hour pharmacy on site, Walgreens has thought of it all!
I am fortunate to be a part of #CollectiveBias and learn about this wonderful healthcare clinic as my visits to Philadelphia have become more frequent with the birth of my daughter… and my own shortcomings on taking care of myself are always apparent when I am away from home and relaxing! Taking a quick trip to the 24-hour location has been a godsend, and I know I will continue to use the clinic services on all of our journeys to my wonderful hometown.

This is SO convenient! Every primary I’ve called recently has a 6-12 month back up! Who can wait that long for a doctors appointment?! I’d definitely utilize this service!!
