When I opened my new Evoq, I was intrigued. Not only is the GB Evoq 4-in-1 travel system lightweight and rated one of the safest car seats available, it’s also sleek. The modern system is more than full of every safety features, it also comes packaged in an easy to maintain, classic color(s) and simple design.
And after I looked it over, I handed the reigns over to Dave to install the base. This is never my forté, and usually takes Dave a bit of a struggle to make sure it is in tight enough. But not this time! As he came in from the snowy winter afternoon nearly breathless, I looked up at his face, “tough?” I asked.
He smiled. “I love this thing,” he said nodding towards the car seat Millie was asleep in.
“Really?” I was waiting for his sarcasm.
“It was so simple,” he beamed, obviously a fan of the FirmFit system. “And there is a holder for the manual in the base, not the seat, so it won’t fall out.”
Obviously, it’s the little things that matter. And the GB Evoq has all the little things nailed!
This stroller was incredibly easy to assemble, requiring just the front wheels to be attached (no tools)- which was an easy task. The car seat and revealable tilt seat are easy to attach, detach and change- making it easy to put Millie in, or Addie, if she wants to sit. The gliding-board comes standard, and is definitely Addie’s favorite feature! She loved riding along on our last trip to BJ’s, and waving to people as she pretended to be Queen Elsa!
Dave and I both love the GB Evoq stroller because of its versatility. The handle is totally adjustable for height, the large compartment below makes for easy storage of the diaper bag, and the standard cup holder is sturdy enough for my 16oz water bottle or a large hot coffee from Dunks! The part we parents love the most? This stroller is lightweight, easy to fold and rolls even on unsure surfaces, like snow! The ride is really smooth, and the brake easily applied- on or off. Lastly, the stroller breaks-down forward, so there’s no stroller dance to fold it, locks in place automatically, and it is easily lifted with just one hand!
The car seat clips into the stroller perfectly, and releases without effort from the back (just like off the base in the car)… which brings me to the biggest brag about this system: the car seat.
The car seat the GB Evoq travel system comes with is the Asana35. Initially it looked so minimalist to me, but as I was reading the manual, I fell in love. The seat is the most highly adjustable one, with GB’s authentic FirmFit, I’ve seen on the market. The car seat base is a dream to install and the seat itself comes with two settings at the waist, 3 at the middle and a headrest that adjusts as you tighten- offering all children the perfect fit. There is an infant insert for small babies, but for children, like Millie, who are larger, the carrier goes up to 35 pounds! That is 13 more than the seat we had been using! For us, it’s just ideal, because with an older sister always going somewhere for something, whether it’s an activity or an appointment, it is nice to be able to keep Millie in the seat, rather than wake her. The chest buckle is easy to undo with one hand from the outside of the seat (even Addie could do it), but I tested it from the inside with two toddlers and neither could unbuckle themselves. A total win for my hands and those struggling moments when baby wants out and you just. can’t. get. the. darn. seat. to. un. do.
What I know will come in handy with this stroller is the tilt seat that comes with it. The seat holds up to 50 pounds, so Addie and Millie can take turns for years to come with this stroller [once Millie is ready to walk]! The seat tilts back, so that one of the kids can nap, if they need to, and even has an extended shade built in for extra protection. I can also turn the seat to face me or face out, depending on how we feel that day! I love that there is room in the basket below for my bag and water bottles and snacks or activities, or, like when we were at the hospital a few weeks ago, it held my bag, our jackets and my breast pump with a small cooler bag!
In truth, I could talk about the GB Evoq all day… and if you’ve seen me recently, you’ve probably gotten an ear-full about it. I wish I’d had this system with Addie, but I am SO glad we have it with Millie- making travel with 2 that much simpler! I wish I’d known about this when my sister was pregnant with my niece. This would have been perfect for her. I love that it’s lightweight too b/c some strollers and 4-in-1 sets can be so heavy and cumbersome.

50 pounds is a really nice weight limit for such a lightweight and easy to transport carrier. I especially like that the assembly on this was next to nothing- and it’s pretty stylish too!

Ooo – I love that little compartment located below the seat of the stroller, and even the GB white/orange accents. A cup holder is also very useful! You are lucky you don’t have our snow, I don’t think you’d even leave the house.
