Hi,
I\’m going to be teaching kindergarten next year and I just met one of the sweet kids who will be in my class. Her grandma wanted to meet me to help put their minds at ease that Emily and I would be a great match. Emily has dwarfism. I want to make this a wonderful year for all my kids, but I especially want to make it a great year for Emily! Her family only speaks Spanish, so I immediately thought of you. Do you have any advice if questions arise from other kids? Or could you tell me what your hopes and dreams for kindergarten would be for your daughter? I already picked my sisters brain of all her hopes and dreams, but my niece had Down syndrome. SO my sister was more talking about inclusion. I wanted everyone to always feel safe, loved, and extremely comfortable at school. I also want to make sure I answer questions in a gentle way a parent would approve of. Can you help me?
