I promise… I’m almost done celebrating! 30 seemed like it would be so much more momentous. Like maybe I’d wake up and feel different, but really, I just felt like me. Only this me.
Here’s this girl woman, with friends who are like sisters and brothers. A village helping raise two warrior women along side her. A husband of 5 years with a heart of gold, patience of a saint and who keeps getting more attractive as the years pile themselves on. This is not what I thought 30 looked like. I was sure I’d be living in my dream- a home with a white picket fence, 3 dogs and 3 kids, working as an event planner with an NHL-playing husband (Rod Brind’Amour, I will wait for you always)… but my dream home is now more like a granite counter top with room for a low work station for Addie and PVC privacy fencing in the backyard of my beautiful colonial with an attached garage on a cul-de-sac in Foxboro. I love having my one handsome pup and I could ask for nothing more than my two beautiful girls. My hubby is a nerd- a hella hott nerd- but a nerd… and Rod Brind’Amour is on his second marriage and it’s still not to me.
This is a way better 30.
I was blessed with a beautiful sushi lunch at my (still) favorite place in RI, Sakura, as well as a Cheers to 30 celebration at my parents’ house in Philly. Because so many people were asking about it, I made a little slideshow to share!
Fotor.com is a new site that is totally dedicated to all things photos! I uploaded some pictures that were from my party in RI- seamlessly thrown by Dave and my bestie Ashley- directly from Facebook and then a whole bunch from my time at home in Philly- and Millie’s (and Dave’s) first Flyer’s game! I loved adding music to it- there are quite a few options. Please checkout my 30th birthday recap… from sushi to haircuts, hockey games and magnificent cake!
I hope there’s more Fotor slideshows from my friends soon! Maybe baby’s first Christmas or wedding photos?! This year has been big for so many! What will you be sharing?
